November 29 (SeeNews) - Romanian private healthcare network Regina Maria said on Thursday it has opened its third polyclinic in the central city of Brasov following a 600,000 euro ($681,232) investment.
The 500 sq m facility is part of the operator's existing private medical campus in Brasov, Regina Maria said in a press release.
It is serviced by a team of 40 doctors in over 20 medical specialties.
Regina Maria was founded in 1995 under the name CMU. In 2010 it merged with Euroclinic, part of Dutch-based financial services group Eureko, and changed its name. Currently, it operates 41 polyclinics, five hospitals, eight medical campuses and 230 clinics in Bucharest, Cluj, Brasov, Constanta, Bacau and Pitesti and has over 4,000 employees, according to data published on the corporate website.
In August, Romania's competition council approved the acquisition of medical laboratory services group IDS Laboratories by local healthcare provider Elite Medical, which is part of Regina Maria.
