July 8 (SeeNews) - Romania's average net monthly wage grew by a real 10.2% year-on-year in May, after gaining 10.3% in April, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the real net wage was 0.9% lower in May, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) said in a monthly labour market report.
In nominal terms, the average net monthly wage increased by 14.7% on the year and fell by 0.4% on the month in May, to 3,101 lei ($739/656 euro).
The highest net average wage of 6,946 lei was registered in the IT sector, while the lowest, of 1,782 lei, was recorded in clothes manufacturing business.
