April 8 (SeeNews) - Romania's average net monthly wage grew by a real 13.6% year-on-year in February, after gaining 14.4% in January, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the real net wage was 0.9% lower in February, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) said in a monthly labour market report.
In nominal terms, the average net monthly wage increased by 17.9% on the year and edged down by 0.1% on the month in February, to 2,933 lei ($693/617 euro).
The highest net average wage of 6,683 lei was registered in the IT sector, while the lowest, of 1,728 lei, was recorded in hotel and restaurant business.
