December 11 (SeeNews) - Romania's average net monthly wage grew by a real 10.6% year-on-year in October, after increasing by an annual 11.5% in September, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
On a monthly comparison basis, net wages were down by a real 0.6% in October, after being flat in September, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) said in a monthly labour market report.
In nominal terms, the average net monthly wage increased by 13.5% on the year and rose by 0.7% on the month in October, to 2,392 lei ($606/ 514 euro).
The highest net average wage of 6,054 lei was registered in IT-related activities, while the lowest, of 1,415 lei, was recorded in hotel and restaurant business.
