February 11 (SeeNews) - Romania's average net monthly wage grew by a real 8.9% year-on-year in December, from 9.5% in November, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the real net wage was 5.7% higher in December, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) said in a monthly labour market report.
In nominal terms, the average net monthly wage increased by 12.5% on the year and rose by 5.9% on the month in December, to 2,957 lei ($707/623 euro).
The highest net average wage of 6,888 lei was registered in the IT sector, while the lowest, of 1,657 lei, was recorded in hotel and restaurant business.
