May 13 (SeeNews) - Romania's current account deficit nearly tripled to 1.47 billion euro ($1.66 billion) in the first quarter from 524 million euro in the same period last year, the central bank said on Friday.
The goods balance and primary income balance recorded higher deficits, by 1.35 billion euro and 570 million euro, respectively, whereas the services surplus narrowed by 100 million euro and the secondary income surplus widened by 30 million euro.

In 2015, Romania's current account deficit widened to 1.75 billion euro, from 686 million euro in the previous year.
