May 14 (SeeNews) - Romania's current account balance showed a deficit of 967 million euro ($1.15 billion) in the first three months of 2018, up 25.6% compared to last year, the central bank said on Monday, citing provisional data.
The deficit on trade in goods widened by 460 million euro while the surplus on services income narrowed by 94 million euro, the central bank said in a balance of payments report for the first three months of the year. Also the deficit of the primary income balance contracted by 328 million euro, and the surplus of the secondary income balance increased by 29 million euro.
Romania's current account balance showed a deficit of 4.464 billion euro in 2017, compared to a gap of 3.498 billion euro a year earlier.
