March 3 (SeeNews) - Romanian concrete products manufacturer Prebet Aiud [BSE:PREB] signed a contract worth 1.05 million euro ($1.1 million) for the design and construction of production space, it said.
The new production space will accomodate a 1.2 million euro machine for the manufacture of pre-stressed concrere beams, Prebet Aiud said in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB, on Thursday.
The contract was concluded on Wednesday and has a four-month duration. The project will be financed out of the company’s own funds, with the amount to be paid up in four instalments by June 14.
In 2022, Prebet Aiud’s net profit edged down to 4.15 million lei ($895,381/843,273 euro) from 4.2 million lei a year earlier, the company said in a separate statement filed with the BVB on Tuesday.
Prebet Aiud shares traded 2.22% higher at 1.84 lei by 1359 CET on Friday on the Bucharest bourse.
