January 19 (SeeNews) - Romanian paper producer Pehart said on Wednesday it has invested 10 million euro ($11.4 million) in a new production line at its plant in Sebes.
The new production line will increase the absorption capacity, strength, elasticity and fineness of finished paper materials and offers the possibility of packaging in eco-friendly, biodegradable materials, Pehart said in a press release.
In December 2020, the company obtained a syndicated loan of 51 million euro to finance investments in new equipment, capacity expansion and introduction of new products.
Pehart is controlled by private equity firm Abris Capital Partners. The company owns two production plants - in Sebes, Alba county, and Dej, Cluj county.
Pehart export markets are Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria and Greece.
