January 17 (SeeNews) - Romanian exploration company Panfora Oil & Gas, a subsidiary of Hungary's MOL Group, said on Monday it has started the construction of the first exploration well within the EX-6 perimeter in Curtici, Arad county.
The construction permit for the 1E-Dorobanti exploration well was issued by local authorities on November 15 , Panfora Oil & Gas said in a press release.
Construction works will be carried out by a local company based in Arad and will take about six months to complete.
Panfora Oil & Gas is specialized in the modern exploration and exploitation of conventional mineral resources. The company was established in 2012 and is based in Cluj Napoca.
Panfora is licensed by the Romanian government and the National Agency for Mineral Resources for exploring and exploiting conventional hydrocarbons in EX-6 Curtici block. The company is also having minority interests in blocks EX-1 and EX-5, where it is a partner of Sand Hill Petroleum Romania.
