October 18 (SeeNews) - The hydrocarbon production of Romania's top oil and gas group, OMV Petrom [BSE:SNP], stayed flat on the year at 182,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) in the third quarter of 2013, its majority owner, Austria’s OMV, said on Friday.
On a quarterly basis, Petrom's output inched down 1.1% in the third quarter of 2013, OMV said in its quarterly trading statement.
OMV also said that Petrom's gas sales volume rose to 11.24 terawatt-hours (TWh) in the third quarter from 9.24 TWh a year earlier. In the second quarter of 2013, Petrom's gas sales volume totalled 11.50 TWh.
"Petrom’s gas sales volumes increased by 22% vs. Q3/12 but the margin level decreased," the statement added.
Blue chip OMV Petrom was trading down 0.02% at 0.4420 lei ($0.1344/0.0994 euro) by 0946 CET on the Bucharest bourse on Friday.
