April 26 (SeeNews) - Romania's top oil and gas group OMV Petrom [BSE:SNP] said on Thursday that it has named Alina-Gabriela Popa as its new chief financial officer (CFO) as of April 17, 2019.
Popa, 40, will replace Stefan Waldner, who has informed the supervisory board that he is not available for the position of CFO beyond the remaining term of his mandate, ending on April 16, 2019, OMV Petrom the group said in a press release.
After the term of his mandate Waldner will take over a new finance role within OMV group.
The supervisory board of OMV Petrom has also appointed Franck Neel, 47, as the new executive board member for downstream gas.
In January, OMV Petrom appointed Christina Verchere as its chief executive officer and president of the executive board, replacing Mariana Gheorghe.
Austria's OMV Group owns a 51.01% stake in OMV Petrom; the Romanian state, via the energy ministry owns 20.64%, Fondul Proprietatea holds 9.9985% interest, and 18.35% is in free float on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange.
