October 28 (SeeNews) - Most company managers in Romania expect increased activities in the services sector, a decline in construction and stability in retail and manufacturing in the next three months, the national statistical office, INS, said on Monday.
Demand for services is expected to grow moderately in the next three months, showing a positive balance of 6%, INS said in a monthly business sentiment survey.

The balance is calculated as the difference between the percentage of respondents who expect positive developments and the percentage of those whose expectations are negative.
Managers expect stability in the number of employees working in services, with a balance of 2%. According to the interviewed managers in the sector, prices will grow moderately, with the balance here being 6%.
Construction companies expect a drop in production volumes of their business in the next three months, with a negative balance of 19%. The managers in the construction sector anticipate moderate decrease in the number of employees and an increase in the prices of construction works, with a negative balance of 10% and a positive one of 7, respectively.
The managers of companies operating in the manufacturing industry expect stable production volumes, with a balance of 4% during the next three months. An increase is expected in pharmaceuticals and tobacco products manufacturing, with a balance of 38% and 35%, respectively. Regarding the number of employees, stability is expected, with a negative balance of 3%, while prices of industrial products are expected to grow moderately, with a positive balance of 8%.
Managers of retail companies expect stability in the economic activity in the next three months, with a positive balance of 4%. The volume of orders placed by trade units to the suppliers of goods will be stable, with a positive balance of 10%. Employers forecast growth in the number of employees in the next three months, with a balance of 17%. The managers expect that retail prices will rise, with a balance of 15%.
A total of 8,847 managers of Romanian-based companies in construction, manufacturing, retail and services were interviewed in the survey.
