July 5 (SeeNews) - Nuclearelectrica [BSE:SNN], the operator of Romania's sole nuclear power plant Cernavoda, announced on Thursday the termination of its contract with deputy general manager Marian Serban.
Serban will leave the job by mutual consent with the company as of August 1, Nuclearelectrica said in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB.
Nuclearelectrica gave no reason for the termination of the contract with Serban.
An interim management will be ensured, until the completion of the internal contest for the occupation of the position.
The Cernavoda plant, located in southeastern Romania, has two reactors of 700 megawatts each, which meet roughly a fifth of the country's electricity needs.
Nuclearelectrica shares traded 1% higher at 7.07 lei by 0920 CET on Thursday on the BVB.
Romania's energy ministry holds a 82.49% stake in Nuclearelectrica.
