October 18 (SeeNews) - Nuclearelectrica [BSE:SNN], the operator of Romania's sole nuclear power plant Cernavoda, has reconnected to the grid one of the plant's two 700 MW units that was automatically disconnected last week.
The reconnection took place in the afternoon of October 16, Nuclearelectrica said in a filing to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).
The disconnection of NPP Unit 2 in the morning of October 14 that followed the triggering of switchers delivering energy into the national energy system, and the relevant remediation works had no impact on the nuclear safety of the reactor, personnel, population and environment, Nuclearelectrica noted.
Blue-chip Nuclearelectrica's shares traded 0.53% higher at 38 lei ($8.9/ 7.7 euro) as at 1441 CET on the BVB on Monday.
