May 24 (SeeNews) - Romania’s M3, the broadest gauge of the country’s money supply, grew by a nominal 13.1% year-on-year to 569.7 billion lei ($123.4 billion/115.2 billion euro) in April, compared to a 13.6% increase in March, the central bank, BNR, said on Tuesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Romania’s M3 money supply edged up 0.4% in April, BNR said in a monthly report published on its website.
In real terms, April M3 was 0.5% lower on the year and fell 3.2% on the month.
Romania’s M1 rose 17.1% on the year to 408.4 billion lei in April, compared to 18.3% in March.
Net foreign assets dropped by an annual 0.1% in April, reaching 243.9 billion lei, while net domestic assets rose 2.6% on the year to 325.7 billion lei.
