March 23 (SeeNews) - The value of Romanian banks’ outstanding loans to the non-government sector grew 10.6% year-on-year in February, to 365.9 billion lei ($80.8 billion/74.3 billion euro), after an 11.5% annual rise in January, the central bank said on Thursday.
Private lending increased 4.3% on the year to 250 billion lei in February, after growing 6.4% in January, the central bank said in a statement.
Private lending in foreign currency rose 27.4% on the year to 115.9 billion lei in February, compared to a 24.9% rise in January.
