January 25 (SeeNews) - The value of Romanian banks’ outstanding loans to the non-government sector grew 12.1% year-on-year in December, to 363.6 billion lei ($80.6 billion/74.1 billion euro), after a 13.2% rise in November, the central bank said.
Private lending increased 6.6% on the year to 250.3 billion lei in December, after growing 9.2% in November, the central bank, BNR, said in a statement on Wednesday.
Private lending in foreign currency rose 26.7% on the year to 113.2 billion lei in December, compared to a 23.4% rise in November.
