May 25 (SeeNews) - The value of Romanian banks’ outstanding loans to the non-government sector grew 8.8% year-on-year in April, to 369.9 billion lei ($80 billion/74.6 billion euro), after a 10.2% annual rise in March, the central bank said on Thursday.
Private lending in lei increased 1.6% on the year to 250.8 billion lei in April, after growing 2.7% in March, the central bank said in a statement.
Private lending in foreign currency rose 27.9% on the year to 119 billion lei in April, compared to a 30.2% rise in March.
