May 24 (SeeNews) - The value of Romanian banks’ outstanding loans to the non-government sector grew 15.8% year-on-year in April to 339.9 billion lei ($73.6 billion/ 68.7 billion euro), compared to a 15.7% rise in March, the central bank, BNR, said on Tuesday.
Private lending increased 19.6% on the year to 246.8 billion lei in April, after growing 20% in March, BNR said in a statement.
Private lending in foreign currency rose 6.8% on the year to 93 billion lei in April, compared to a 5.6% rise in March.
