Romania's Jan-Sep residential building permits jump 27.8% y/y - table buildings, Romania

BUCHAREST (Romania), October 29 (SeeNews) - Romania issued 39,114 building permits for residential projects in January-September, up 27.8% year-on-year, the national statistical office, INS, said on Friday.

During September only, Romania issued 4,899 building permits, of which 71.1% were for projects located in rural areas, INS said in a monthly statement.

The regional distribution shows an increase in the number of construction permits released for residential buildings, compared to September 2020, in central, Bucharest-Ilfov area and western regions.

In the south-Muntenia, northeast, southwest Oltenia and southeast regions, the number of building permits was lower on the year in September.

INS provided no figure for the value of the projects which were granted permits.

Romania issued 41,311 building permits for residential projects in 2020, down 2.9% year-on-year.
