October 31 (SeeNews) - Romania issued 32,200 building permits for residential projects in January-September, down 2.5% year-on-year, the national statistical office, INS, said.
As many as 68.8% of the permits issued in September were for projects located in Romania's rural areas, INS said in a statement on Wednesday.
Only in September, Romania issued 3,864 building permits, up 2.6% on the month and down 3.5% year-on-year.
INS provided no figure for the value of the projects which were granted permits.
The total number of permits for residential buildings issued in 2018 was 42,694, up 2.6% on the year.
