December 5 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Romania in the first ten months of 2018 rose by 6.1% on the year to more than 11 million, the country's statistical board, INS, said on Wednesday.
Tourists spent 24.8 million overnights in Romania in the January-October period, up 5.5% compared to the prior-year period, INS said in a statement.
In October alone, the number of tourists staying in Romania rose by 11.7% on the year to 1.06 million, while overnights were up 10.6% to some 2.3 million.

In 2017, the number of tourists staying in Romania rose 10.4% on the year to more than 12 million.
