November 8 (SeeNews) - Romania's consolidated budget revenue through October rose by a nominal 21.4% on the year to 99.14 billion lei ($42.62 billion/29.06 billion euro), the Finance and Economy Ministry said late on Wednesday.
The ministry reported no budget spending figures for the first ten months of the year.
Romania, which joined the European Union on January 1, had a consolidated budget surplus of 0.19% of the gross domestic product (GDP) for the first nine months of the year.
Romania expects a budget deficit of 1.0-1.2% of the GDP this year against the government's earlier budget deficit target of 2.8% of GDP, Finance and Economy Minister Varujan Vosganian said last week. The country's consolidated budget gap was equivalent to 1.7% of GDP last year, below the government's target of 2.5%.
