September 2 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Romania in the first seven months of 2019 rose by 6% on the year to more than 7.26 million, the country's statistical board, INS, said on Monday.
Tourists spent 15.8 million overnights in Romania in the January-July period, up 8.2% compared to the prior-year period, INS said.
In July alone, the number of tourists staying in Romania increased 3.6% on the year to 1.65 million, while overnights increased by 3.5% to some 4.4 million.
