September 4 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Romania in the first seven months of 2018 rose by 3.8% on the year to more than 6.85 million, the country's statistical board, INS, said on Tuesday.
Tourists spent 14.25 million overnights in Romania in the January-July period, up 2.6% compared to the prior-year period, INS said in a statement.
In July alone, the number of tourists staying in Romania rose by 2.8% on the year to 1.59 million, while overnights were up 2.9% to some 4.25 million.

In 2017, the number of tourists staying in Romania rose 10.4% on the year to more than 12 million.
