March 31 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits for residential projects issued in Romania in the first two months of 2023 fell 23.7% year-on-year, to 4,650, the national statistical office, INS, said on Friday.
In February alone, Romania issued 2,571 building permits, of which 69% were from projects located in rural areas, INS said in a monthly report.
INS provided no figure for the value of the projects which were granted permits.
Romania issued 43,660 building permits for residential projects in 2022, down 14.9% year-on-year.
