October 1 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Romania jumped 47.8% on the year to 6.4 million in the first eight months of 2021, the statistics board, INS, said on Thursday.
Tourists spent 14.7 million overnights in Romania in January-August, up 45% year-on-year, INS said in a statement.
In August alone, the number of tourists staying in Romania jumped by an annual 32.9% to 1.73 million, while overnights jumped 30.3% on the year, to 4.49 million.
