June 4 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Romania in the first four months of 2019 rose by 5.6% on the year to more than 3.20 million, the country's statistical board, INS, said.
Tourists spent 5.73 million overnights in Romania in the January-April period, up 9.1% compared to the prior-year period, INS said in a statement on Monday.
In April alone, the number of tourists staying in Romania increased 4.9% on the year to 885,400, while overnights increased by 9.9% to some 1.76 million.
