BUCHAREST (Romania), May 16 (SeeNews) – New passenger car registrations in Romania rose 22.3% year-on-year to 28,916 during the first four months of 2017, provisional data from the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, ACEA, indicated on Tuesday.
In April alone, new passenger car registrations in Romania climbed 7.5% to 6,640 units, ACEA said in a statement.

Romanian car maker Dacia's sales in the EU increased by 6.1% year-on-year, reaching 145,863 units in the period January-April of 2017. Dacia's market share remained flat on the year at 2.7% in the first four months of 2017.
New passenger car registrations in the EU, excluding Malta, increased by 4.7% year-on-year in January-April, reaching 5.33 million.
New passenger car registrations in Romania climbed 17% to 94,424 last year, exceeding the 2015 growth rate.
