Romania's industrial production fell by an unadjusted 1.8% year-on-year in 2022, the national statistical office, INS, said on Tuesday.
In December alone, industrial output decreased by an adjusted 6.3% on the year and was lower by 1.6% on the month, INS said.
On a non-adjusted comparison basis, industrial production in December fell by an annual 10.3% and a monthly 14.4%. Electricity production saw the largest drop in 2022, decreasing by 9.4% compared with 2021, followed by a 2.8% fall in mining and quarrying and a decline of 0.4% in manufacturing.
