August 3 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Romania in the first six months of 2018 rose by 4.1% on the year to more than 5.26 million, the country's statistical board, INS, said on Friday.
Tourists spent 10.3 million overnights in Romania in the January-June period, up 2.5% compared to the prior-year period, INS said in a statement.
In June alone, the number of tourists staying in Romania edged up by 0.1% on the year to 1.2 million, while overnights fell by 1% to some 2.7 million.

In 2017, the number of tourists staying in Romania rose 10.4% on the year to more than 12 million.
