September 21 (SeeNews) - Romanian real estate developer Forte Partners has completed the construction of the second phase of its U Center office complex in Bucharest following investment of 100 million euro ($106.6 million), a PR officer for the company told SeeNews by phone on Thursday.
The building, whose construction took two years, has a gross leasable area (GLA) of 35,000 sq m, Forte Partners said in a statement on Wednesday.
"We are pleased to have been able to adapt the project to the new requirements of the office market, given that the work style has changed significantly since 2019, the year in which construction works began on the first phase of the project, and U Center 2 has been chosen by major companies," Geo Margescu, CEO and co-founder of Forte Partners, said in the statement.
In July, the real estate developer said that Romanian IT&C solutions provider and integrator Brinel, part of French group SNEF, has leased 1,000 sq m of office space in the second building of U Center.
The first phase of the U Center project was completed in 2021 and was sold to Paval Holding, the owner of Romanian DIY retailer Dedeman. Currently it hosts offices of companies such as Booking Holdings, Endava and Banca Transilvania.
Forte Partners was established in 2014 and currently manages a portfolio worth over 450 million euro in Romania.
