January 13 (SeeNews) - Romania's gross foreign debt increased to 143.7 billion euro ($155.7 billion) at the end of November from 136.6 billion euro at the end of 2021, the central bank, BNR, said on Friday.
The end-November figure includes 97.4 billion euro in long-term foreign debt, down from 97.5 billion euro at the end of 2021, BNR said in a monthly balance of payments report.
Long-term external debt service ratio came in at 15.5% in November, compared to 17% at the end of 2021.
Goods and services import cover stood at 4.3 months at end-November, from 4.9 months at the end of 2021.
The ratio of the BNR’s foreign exchange reserves to short-term external debt by remaining maturity decreased to 78.8% at the end of November, from 79.4% at the end of 2021.
