Romanian investment fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP] said that it repurchased a total of 5,537,305 own shares and equivalent shares of global depositary receipts (GDRs) in the May 18-22 period.
Fondul Proprietatea bought back 4,851,905 own shares for 5.9 million lei ($1.3 million/1.2 million euro) and 685,400 equivalent shares of GDRs for some 808,000 lei, the company said in a bourse filing on Monday.
The number of shares left to be repurchased within the eleventh buyback programme is 473,283,773.
As at 14:00 CET on Tuesday, Fondul Proprietatea shares traded 0.78% lower at 1.275 lei on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
