May 12 (SeeNews) - Romanian investment fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP] said that it repurchased a total of 6,962,809 own shares and equivalent shares of global depositary receipts (GDRs) in the May 4-8 period.
Fondul Proprietatea bought back 6,818,059 own shares for 7.8 million lei ($1.8 million/1.7 million euro) and 144,750 equivalent shares of GDRs for some 178,000 lei, the company said in a bourse filing on Monday.
The number of shares left to be repurchased within the eleventh buyback programme is 484,421,467.
As at 15:00 CET on Tuesday, Fondul Proprietatea shares traded 0.44% higher at 1.165 lei, unchanged from their previous closing price on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
