April 7 (SeeNews) - Romanian investment fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP] said that it has repurchased a total of 27,423,518 own shares and equivalent shares of global depositary receipts (GDRs) in the March 30 - April 3 period.
Fondul Proprietatea bought back 21,876,218 own shares for 23.8 million lei ($5.4 million/4.9 million euro) and 5,547,300 equivalent shares of GDRs for 5.9 million lei, Fondul Proprietatea said in a bourse filing on Monday.
The number of shares left to be repurchased within the eleventh buyback programme is 542,227,860.
As at 12:30 CET on Tuesday, Fondul Proprietatea shares traded 5.05% higher at 1.145 lei on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
