June 2 (SeeNews) - Romanian investment fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP] said on Tuesday that it repurchased a total of 5,502,062 own shares and equivalent shares of global depositary receipts (GDRs) in the May 25-29 period.
Fondul Proprietatea bought back 4,847,462 own shares for 6.2 million lei ($1.4 million/1.3 million euro) and 654,600 equivalent shares of GDRs for some 817,000 lei, the company said in a bourse filing.
The number of shares left to be repurchased within the eleventh buyback programme is 467,781,711.
As at 15:30 CET on Tuesday, Fondul Proprietatea shares traded 0.81% higher at 1.25 lei on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
