May 16 (SeeNews) - Romanian investment company Evergent Investments [BVB:EVER] recorded a net profit of 10.93 million lei ($2.3 million/2.2 million euro) in the first quarter of 2022, it said.
The company's net assets reached 2.35 billion lei at the end of March, it said in a press release last week. “In spite of the unfavourable circumstances, the unitary value of Evergent Investments’ net assets has increased by 13.4% compared to March 31, 2021,” the company commented.
“The net result of the first quarter and the largest capitalisation of all the investment companies also show we have a solid position and we are ready for periods of uncertainty,” said Claudiu Doros, president and general director of Evergent Investments.
Evergent Investments will pay out a total of 62,263,501 lei in dividends for 2021, the company also said.
In July, the investment company said it sold its 2.11% stake in Agricola International Bacau in line with its strategy to reduce minority holdings and extract value from assets, while optimising the investment process.
Formerly known as SIF Moldova, Evergent is a Romanian fund management company founded in 1992.
Evergent shares traded up 2.09% at 1.22 lei/share as of 11:54 CET on Monday, on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
