August 13 (SeeNews) - Romania's foreign debt increased to 103.7 billion euro ($115.9 billion) at the end of June from 99.4 billion euro at the end of 2018, the central bank, BNR, said on Tuesday.
The end-June figure includes 70.36 billion euro in long-term foreign debt, up from 67.96 billion euro at the end of 2018, BNR said in a monthly balance of payments report.
Long-term external debt service ratio fell to 19.2% at end-June, compared to 21.2% at end-2018.
Goods and services import cover stood at 4.6 months at end-June, from 4.9 months at end-2018.
The ratio of the BNR’s foreign exchange reserves to short-term external debt by remaining maturity decreased to 73% at end-June, compared to 74.3% at end-2018.
