April 12 (SeeNews) - Romania's foreign debt increased to 99.6 billion euro ($112.7 billion) at the end of February from 99.4 billion euro at the end of 2018, the central bank, BNR, said on Friday.
The end-February figure includes 68.25 billion euro in long-term foreign debt, down from 67.96 billion euro at the end of 2018, BNR said in a monthly balance of payments report.
Long-term external debt service ratio fell to 12.5% at end-February, compared to 21.2% at end-2018.
Goods and services import cover stood at 4.8 months at end-February, from 4.9 months at end-2018.
The ratio of the BNR’s foreign exchange reserves to short-term external debt by remaining maturity decreased to 72.8% at end-February, from 74.3% at end-2018.
