April 13 (SeeNews) - Romania's foreign debt decreased to 123.6 billion euro ($147 billion) at the end of February 2021 from 125.9 billion euro at the end of 2020, the central bank, BNR, said on Tuesday.
The end-February figure includes 90.9 billion euro in long-term foreign debt, down from 92.8 billion euro at the end of 2020, BNR said in a monthly balance of payments report.
Long-term external debt service ratio fell to 18.1% in February, compared to 20.1% at end-2020.
Goods and services import cover stood at 5 months at end-February, from 5.6 months at end-2020.
The ratio of the BNR’s foreign exchange reserves to short-term external debt by remaining maturity increased to 83.5% at end-February, from 90.7% at end-2020.
