January 11 (SeeNews) - Romania's December consumer prices rose by 0.23% month-on-month and were 3.14% higher than a year earlier, the country's statistics office said on Wednesday.
Romania’s end-2011 inflation is within the central bank’s target band of 2.0%-4.0% and slightly below the lender’s latest forecast of 3.3%.
In November, Romania's consumer price index (CPI) rose by a monthly 0.42% and increased by 3.44% year-on-year.
The annual average inflation in 2011 was 5.8%, Romania's statistics office INS said in a statement.
