February 28 (SeeNews) - Romanian power supplier and distributor Electrica [BSE:EL] said on Thursday it booked a consolidated net profit of 230 million lei ($55 million/49 million euro) in 2018, up by 34.3% on the year.
Electrica's operating revenues were flattish in 2018, reaching 5.6 billion lei, the company said in an unaudited consolidated interim financial statement.
Its operating profit rose 32.5% on the year to 260.9 million lei in 2018, while assets edged up 1.15% on the year to 7.5 billion lei.
Last year, Electrica allocated 2.18 billion lei to its subsidiaries, an amount similar to the one invested in 2017.
Shares of Electrica, in which the Romanian state owns a stake of 48.8%, are listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange.
Electrica's shares changed hands 3.49% lower at 10.5 lei by 1205 CET on Thursday in Bucharest.
