February 3 (SeeNews) - Romanian railway operator CFR said that local engineering expert TPF Inginerie was confirmed as the winner of two contracts worth a cumulative 28.5 million lei ($6.4 million/5.8 million euro) for modernisation works on the Cransebes-Timisoara-Arad railway.
The two contracts involve design and modernisation works for the Caransebes-Lugoj and Lugoj-Timisoara railway sections, CFR said in a press release on Thursday.
Works on each of the two sections are due to be completed within 103 months.
The works will be financed through non-refundable funds from Romania’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
A member of Brussels-based TPF Group, TPF Inginerie is specialised in sectors such as transportation, water supply and sanitation, civil engineering and renewable energy. In 2021, it booked a net profit of 1.2 million lei and a turnover of over 25.4 million lei, according to data from the finance ministry.
