May 9 (SeeNews) - Lasselberger Ceramics Romania, part of Austrian building materials group Lasselsberger and owner of the Cesarom brand, said it opened a new production line for the rectification of ceramic tiles at its Cluj-Napoca production facility, following an investment of 1 million euro ($1.1 million).
The rectification line boasts a capacity of 40 tiles per minute, or some 21 million per year, and is estimated to boost Cesarom’s sales by an annual 15% this year, the company said in a press release on Monday.
“Up to 40% of the total ceramic tile production at our factory can be rectified through the new process,” Petrisor Gridneanu, general manager at Lasselberger Ceramics Romania, said.
In October, Cesarom invested 1 million lei ($224,044/203,020 euro) in a ceramic tiles showroom in Bucharest, it said in a press release at the time. In 2022, the company invested over 2 million euro in developing a line for rectifying ceramic tiles and launching new products.
Cesarom was established 60 years ago and is a Romanian ceramic tiles producer. Since 2004, the company is part of Austrian group Lasselsberger.
