March 16 (SeeNews) - Romania recorded a current account surplus of 149 million euro ($166 million) in January, lower than 322 million euro in the same month of last year, the central bank said on Monday, citing provisional data.
The deficit on trade in goods widened by 79 million euro, the surplus on services income decreased by 56 million euro, the surplus of the primary income balance increased by 157 million euro, and the surplus of the secondary income balance narrowed by 195 million euro.
Romania's current account balance showed a deficit of 10.478 billion euro in 2019, compared to a gap of 8.960 billion euro a year earlier.
