November 13 (SeeNews) - Romania's current account recorded a deficit of 6.619 billion euro ($7.437 billion) in January-September, compared to a deficit of 4.779 billion euro in the year ago period, the central bank said on Tuesday, citing provisional data.
The deficit on trade in goods widened by 1.492 billion euro, the surplus on services income narrowed by 190 million euro, the deficit of the primary income balance contracted by 124 million euro, the central bank said in a balance of payments report. Also, the surplus of the secondary income balance decreased by 282 million euro during January-September.
Romania's current account balance showed a deficit of 4.464 billion euro in 2017, compared to a gap of 3.498 billion euro a year earlier.
