July 15 (SeeNews) - Romania current account balance showed a deficit of 3.401 billion euro ($3.836 billion) in the first five months of 2019, compared to a gap of 2.564 billion euro in the same period of last year, the central bank said on Monday, citing provisional data.
The deficit on trade in goods widened by 1.476 billion euro, the surplus on services income increased by 116 million euro, the primary income deficit decreased by 778 million euro, and the surplus of the secondary income balance decreased by 255 million euro.
Romania's current account balance showed a deficit of 9.416 billion euro in 2018, compared to a gap of 5.970 billion euro a year earlier.
