November 15 (SeeNews) - Romania recorded a current account deficit of 11.5 billion euro ($13.2 billion) in the first nine months of 2021, compared to 7.8 billion euro in the same period of last year, the central bank said on Monday, citing provisional data.
The breakdown shows that the deficits on trade in goods and on primary income widened by 2.719 billion euro and 145 million euro, respectively, the BNR said in a monthly report.
Also, the surplus on services and that on secondary income decreased by 418 million euro and 382 million euro, respectively.
Romania recorded a current account deficit of 10.983 billion euro in 2020, compared to a 10.480 billion euro gap in the same period of the previous year.
